Welcome to St Mary's, Ninfield, and St Oswald's, Hooe

Weddings - St Oswald's Hooe

"Laura and I were so grateful to have our ceremony in the beautiful St Oswald's. Thank you to Revd Paul for taking the service and organising everything. It has been lovely to get to know the congregation, they are incredibly welcoming and open people, with special thanks to Paul, the organist, and the bellringers of Hooe. Many wedding guests commented on the beauty of the church and its quintessentially English setting amidst rolling fields and footpaths. St Oswald's in Hooe really is the ideal location for a couple looking for a romantic country wedding."

If you would like to get married in our beautiful country church of St Oswald's in Hooe,we are here to help and do everything to ensure you have a wonderful wedding day!

Nestled on the edge of the South Downs in wonderful rolling countryside with a distant view of the sea, St Oswald's is a wonderfully romantic place in which to celebrate the occasion. Dating back to the 12th century, St Oswald's is steeped in history and not only has an organ but also its own team of very active bellringers - to ensure the perfect musical accompaniment for your ceremony. While surrounded by greenery and fields beyond, we are also conveniently located for a number of attractive venues for your reception afterwards, starting with our own excellent village pub, The Red Lion Hooe (https://www.theredlionhooe.co.uk/), all the way to nearby four-star hotels.
